The effects of DF-1 on DNA double strand breaks. To investigate the effects of DF-1 on formation and repair of DNA double strand breaks after irradiation, γ-H2AX foci were evaluated by immunocytochemistry in DU145 cells. A) The number of γ-H2AX foci at 1 and 4 hrs after irradiation (4 Gy) in cells treated with 100 μM DF-1 was significantly less than that observed in cells treated with 10 μM DF-1 or vehicle alone.
