Induction of TLSL in naked DNA exposed to62Ni ions is suppressed by DMSO.Exponentially growing M059K cells were embedded in agarose and subjectedto LTL. Generated “naked” DNA was exposed to 5 Gy of1 GeV accelerated 62Ni ions in the presence of 0%(A) or 2% (B) DMSO. Subsequently, agarose blocks wereincubated in TEN buffer at different temperatures for the indicatedperiods of time and analyzed by PFGE. Data represent the calculatedaverage and standard deviation from 4 determinations (agarose blocks) inone experiment.
