Input parameters to the artificial neural network model. Tumor volumes (V), prostate-specific antigen (PSA), the apparent diffusion coefficients (ADC) and the vascular biomarker Ktrans were acquired pre-treatment and early in treatment course and normalized to the baseline (day 0) measurement. These parameters were used as inputs to the back propagation neural network (BPNN) in order to explore whether they could predict therapeutic outcome, as measured by the 30 days post-radiotherapy (RT) tumor volumes.
