Consider increased BP monitoring

Grade 2 Asymptomatic and diastolic BP < 110 mm Hg

Begin anti-hypertensive therapy and continue the agent

Grade 2 Symptomatic/persistent or diastolic BP ≥ 110 mmHg or

1. Agent should be held until symptoms resolve and diastolic BP ≤ 100 mmHg; also treat patient with anti-hypertensives and when agent is restarted, reduce by 1 dose level.*

Grade 3

2. If diastolic BP not controlled (≤ 100) on therapy, reduce another dose level.^

Grade 4

Discontinue protocol therapy

  1. *: May be able to resume full dose later.
  2. ^: Patients requiring > 2 dose reductions should go off protocol therapy.
