a X-rays Dose response curve of human normal skin fibroblasts (AG01522B cells) and b patient derived glioblastoma stem cells (E2 cells) obtained using clonogenic assay. For OER calculation various dose values resulting in surviving fraction of 10, 50 and 90% (D10, D50 and D90) were obtained as transformants on the surviving curves under oxic and hypoxic conditions. The values obtained for various doses were used to calculate OER for X-rays in both AG01522B and E2 cells as shown in the Additional file 1: Table S1
