Combined BV6 treatment and irradiation decreases cell viability and enhances apoptosis of colorectal carcinoma cells. SW480, HT-29 and HCT-15 cells were treated with 1 μM or 4 μM BV6 or with DMSO as a control for 4 h and were subsequently irradiated with a dose of 0, 2 or 8 Gy. After 24 h, cells were subjected to a colorimetric MTT-assay (a), analysis of Caspase 3/7 activity (b) or flow cytometric measurement of AnnexinV-positive cells (c). Results represent means ± SD (n = 3). Student’s t-test compared BV6-treated vs. DMSO-treated cells (*P <0.05; **P <0.01)
