Mean residual displacement (MRD) for varying contrast-to-noise (CNR) levels and B-spline knot spacings (BKSs). The image noise varied from 20–200 HU (1 SD) in combination with (A) GF = 0.5 (Phantom V-IX), (B) GF = 1.0 (Reference phantom and phantom I-IV), and (C) GF = 1.5 (Phantom X-XIV). Phantoms according to Table 1. GF = grey value factor. Note that the overall MRD decreased with increasing GF and note the spacing of the BKS-axis.
